*contest now closed!!* Capri Sun $250 Visa Gift Card Giveaway!!

*This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Capri-Sun.*

Having 3 kids makes life a tad bit crazy. When my school-aged kids wake up in the morning, chaos ensues. Breakfast needs to be made, lunches made, the toddler's needs are screamed out at me and Hubby gets to shuttle everyone off in the right direction.

Luckily my oldest lives by her alarm clock, but my sluggish second child needs a bit more incentive. What helps keep our rountine in line is the menus for the day. Breakfast food set and ready, lunch prep made simple and easy. We look for brands we can trust at the grocery store. Brands that offer nutrition as well as convenient packaging are always tossed in the cart.

Long gone are the days where we have time to fill a thermos and toss that bulky thing into a lunch bag. My kids are Capri Sun drinkers. The pouch is the right amount of juice so satisfy their thirst, and the price for a box of 10 is unbeatable at any store! The pouches are perfect for their lunch pails and Capri Sun is a name our family can trust.

Capri Sun Sunrise is the new, wholesome morning drink for kids chock full of Vitamin C and calcium.
- A good source of calcium
- 100% Daily Value Vitamin C
- The pouch kids love

There are 3 new flavors of Capri Sun Sunrise, Berry Tangerine Morning, Tropical Morning, and Orange Wake Up. My 3 children loved the Orange Wake Up best, while I enjoyed the taste of Berry Tangerine Morning.

Thanks to BlogHer and Capri-Sun Sunrise you can enter to win a $250 Visa Gift Card!!

I have no children of my own (yet!)... so compared to many of you, my routine is pretty laid back.

I try to get up about 3 hours before I need to leave for work, so I can have enough time to make/pack my breakfast, lunch, exercise, shower and clean the house! It usually is between 5:30-6:30 AM.

Prep the night before by allowing for adequate rest and having clothing set aside. In the morning, allow for variance, be firm but flexible. Ask first but be ready to tell if the asking doesn't work.

my kids are older now so it pretty routine...
5-5:30 I get up, stumble downstairs and put the coffee on
6 Tell the kids time to get up
6:20 verify that the kids ALL got up...
6:45 get breakfast
7 - 7:10 Kids are out the door and I'm busy on the computer... lol

My secret weapon for getting everyon out in the morning on time is my dear husband!! We work as a team. I have to leave before anyone else, so I get ready while my husband feeds the boys breakfast and makes and packs the lunches. I get them dressed and groomed and make sure all the paperwork is in the backpacks. I leave and my husband puts one of my sons on the bus and takes the other to daycare. I couldn’t do it all by myself, but together, we all get where we need to go on time. Thanks for the giveaway.

I have a six-year-old, and he usually gets the ball rolling by coming into our room at some ungodly hour (sixish). We have some breakfast (coffee for me) and I make lunches for everyone. Then it's out the door!

I wake up get dressed, eat, than I sit on my porch and read untill it is time to get ready for work.

I work 2nd shift so most mornings it's like zombie-land here when the alarm goes off. My daughter is almost impossible to get out of bed and get moving in the morning. You'll usually hear "C'mon Danielle, get moving" at least 20 times. I can usually get her going in enough time to grab a quick bowl of cereal and juice before her ride comes. After she's out the door, I'm back in bed for another couple hours of sleep.

The alarm goes off at 6:00. That's when the coffee pot goes on automatically. My husband and I get up at 6:30. I open the door, bring in the newspaper laying on the floor, pour coffee, cook oatmeal or eggs. We eat and then read the paper, and discuss the happenings in the world.

Since I get my grandchildren off to school and daycare my hectic morning routine is:
5:45AM I get up to the squawking alarm get my things together, grab coffee.
6:30AM Get to my grandkids house. Make sure things are laid out and ready to go. Make breakfast & pack 1 picky lunch.
6:45AM Wake the most precious kids I have ever seen. Usher them to the breakfast table. Talk & eat. Brush teeth, wash up, get dressed, comb hair & a fancy bow. Listen to whining about MORE cartoons. Make sure shoes match & on the right feet.
Double check that no toys are going to school or daycare. Homework? Is it all there?
Lets get in granny's car....7:30AM
Buckled in? Off we go!

I have an 8yr old, 6 yr old, & 18 month old. I get up at 5:30, get in shower, straighten hair, a load of laundry waiting in dryer from night before, get coffee going, feed dogs, make kids' lunches, get older 2 up & ready, make sure everything in backbacks are ready for school, get baby up, give him a bath cuz sometimes the night before is too hectic. I have to feed the baby breakfast, do the dishes if any, finish getting myself ready & make sure I leave the house by 7am to go drop kids off at daycare, then I go to work and continue with my hectic evening schedule that I'll save for another time.

I have a son who pops out of bed and is immediately cheery! But my daughter is VERY hard to get up and is Mrs. Grumpy Pants all morning. I try to get as much ready as I can the night before. Backpacks packed, forms filled out and in the folder in the backpack, etc. I try to limit discussion and choices with DD by just making her something for breakfast and lunch without asking because having to make a decision in the morning sends her over the edge.

Thanks!

My morning routine is as simple as possible: get up, brush teeth, make sure I'm presentable, have breakfast...occasionally. I try to prepare everything the night before, like the things I'll need to have with me and I shower at night if I have to be out early. I don't have kids yet, but if I'm babysitting or something I always make sure the child I'm responsible for has breakfast in the morning!

I drag myself out of bed 30 min. before we have to leave for school. It takes over 15 min. to get there. I grab outfits out for my son and daughter and lay them out in the hall so as they leave the bathroom to put shoes on they can get dressed. They grab pop tarts, cereal, or some sort of on the go item as I load up the baby and off we go.

We try really hard to get everything that can be done, done the night before. Bookbags are packed and ready to go... waiting in their breakfast chair (so we don't have to try and find them:-), I set out their vitamins on the table at their places, clothes are picked out as we head for bed. Before we head for bath I get them to help packing lunch boxes for the next day. Sometimes, if I know we're going to be extra tired or extra rushed, I even go ahead and lay out breakfast bars for them to eat as soon as they get to the table.

I have 4 kids, ages 3 to 15, who will all be in school this year so I have to be organized.

my tips -

Do as much as possible the night before - baths, clothes ready, backpacks ready with homework/gym clothes

Exact bedtimes per age and get up when its time in morning - I try to teach this from very young age. And to dress themselves - do for selves.

Organized place for shoes, coats, backpacks, school papers, instruments ready to go.

Eat breakfast after getting all the way ready so kids can relax a bit, chat and watch for bus.

Keep school day breakfast quick and healthy - instant oatmeal, cereal or toast with fruit or smoothies. Save pancakes and eggs big breakfast for Saturday morning.

Blessings

My morning routine involves working on things the night before. First, we have one bathroom so my son showers the night before. Second, my son prefers to take his lunch to school so we make that together the night before and pop it in the fridge so it is nice and chill. Third, I pick out my outfit and my son picks out his clothes the night before. We like to have time to relax in the morning and take things slowly so we get up early (5:00 am). Because so much is prepped before we go to bed, we do not feel rushed. We can chat, watch some cartoons together, and enjoy a little time together before my son is off to the bus stop (6:38 am).

Great giveaway.

Our morning routine starts with me turning off one alarm clock, then wait till the other one goes off and turn it off. Then I wake up one of my twin sons and wait fifteen minutes and wait the other one up (he needs more sleep). Then I wait for them to get ready for school and and make them breakfast sometimes. Mostly they eat a bowl of cereal. Then I tell them to hurry up or they'll be late for school. I have to tell them about 5 or more times. Then I go in the car and wait till they come out and take them to school. After that I come home and have 4 cups of coffee and sit and relax for awhile till I go to work.

My oldest is the toughest to wake up so I start with him. I go in and gently rub his arm or head and tell him it's time to wake up. Then I finish getting ready. I go in and try and wake him again. Then I get the toddler ready. Then I go in and wake the oldest and don't leave him alone until he's out of bed. They eat breakfast at daycare so all I have to do is get them up and ready to go.

I think it really helps to make sure your kids are getting to bed at a decent time so they are getting enough sleep and to follow the same routine every morning.

Our morning routine is a bit different, because we homeschool.
Typically, I try to get up first and at least start on my coffee while checking emails, talking to the currently deployed hubby (if I'm lucky that day!) and getting breakfast fixings out.
The kids all straggle in and are fed, and then sent to get dressed. They are allowed to watch one cartoon if they are fed/dressed before I am done with the coffee and chat with Daddy. Then we start learning for the day!

The morning routine (assuming I got any sleep) begins when Austin's nurse arrives @ 6AM. If I haven't slept its my chance to catch a few Zzzz's. When I finally do rise, COFFEE is needed and of course I turn on my computer to read up on my fave bloggers if we have no pressing therapy or doctor appointments.

At this time, my baby is my honey/hubby and he is working SO long and hard that I try to wake him up gently... First we use a timed alarm (every 12 minutes) that sound like Tinkerbell fluttering her wings and then I start a fragrant blend of coffee brewing.

If he sleeps through the second "twinkling" I place Twinkie (the cat) next to his face. Twink loves his "Daddy" and he rubs his face and whiskers across hubby cheek and purrs LOUDLY in his ear. This always does the trick!

(I know he would love to have juice instead of black coffee - but he has to take a medication that doesn't allow juice for several hours... Boo.

I have one daughter and our morning routine is pretty much set. When she was like 3 yrs old it was up to her father to get her up. Apparently, he was like a drill sergeant. He would knock on her door, call her name and tell her to get ready. He wholly expected she would do so. And she did! Well, she is a bit older and I've found talking with friends our routine must be a little odd, in that she needs very little prompting. Our routine is that I wake up, call her to make sure she is awake. She dresses, I flopped downstairs in my nightie. She gets out her cereal, pours her milk and eats. Checks her backpack, puts in her lunch she made the night before talks to the dog and cat and waits for me to get ready. She is very patient, so I shouldn't complain, I guess. On my part, I take the dog out, eat quick, change fast and hurry down at the last minute.

I suck at mornings. I try to have everything ready the night before so that all I have to worry about in the AM is making my son breakfast, otherwise I would never, ever get him to school on time.

"Leave me a comment below and share YOUR morning routine tips, if you have kids, how do you get them up and ready to go (especially on a school day)? This comment is a must, and without it, any and all entries will be deleted."

COUNT ME IN! Here's "My Morning Routine": At about 5:30 AM, my husband's clomping-around work boots wake me as he heads out the door for another day, another dollar. I pull the drawstring on my hoodie tighter to block the sunlight from my eyes from the windows my spouse think's the blinds need to be pulled open on to let in a new day each morning. Rolling over for "just 5 more minutes" and squinting under my "veil," I wonder if I was a vampire in another life, but that makes no sense, since I would be eternally dead already and would not have past lives. I sit up briskly in an effort to convince my body I don't need the coffee I've been trying to wean myself off of for the last six weeks, and head out to the kitchen to make the coffee I've been trying to wean myself off of for the last six weeks and feed the parade of cats (four), who are following me, all meowing mournfully as if they haven't eaten in a month of Sundays.

I then curl up on the couch and share my brew and a daily "Swissamon" (a sandwich I made up involving two slices of Baby Swiss cheese and two slices of cinnamon bread) with Harry Smith and the news, while at the same time catching up on the many letters I regularly write (Adopt A U.S. Soldier, SpiritJump, old friends here, old friends there, etc.) and "special" funny notices of made-up holidays or events we have in the works to my teen-age daughter, who is waking up upstairs. Then it's LIVE with Regis and Kelly and the Laundry, followed but gaging over Joy Behar, Whoopi, and Barbara on The View, but enjoying the rest of the show's women at the same time. Homeschooling starts. Maybe I'll get dressed. Maybe I won't. HEY! Maybe I should replace that coffee with a Capri!

Morning Routine Tips:
1. If you're my age, just be glad you woke up.

2. Stick with the same old "same old" when it comes to breakfast. I mean really? Who can think that early in the morning???

3. Feed the cats before you feed yourself, otherwise the "Cat-eyes of Texas are Upon You."

To make the morning routine easier... I try to remember to have my son's clothes set out already the night prior, and his lunch mostly put together, and homework or paperwork that needs to go with him all together in one place in the front entrance. I also turn the television off if he's daudling while eating breakfast and watching it.

Fortunately I get to wake up and take my time for breakfast. I usually start by making a pot of coffee, then while that is brewing, I pour some cereal. Good cereal, not the sugar type. Throw on a bit of banana, some more cereal, the rest of the banana and some frozen wild blueberries. Some soy milk and breakfast is ready.

My children are not school aged yet, so I really let their need for sleep rule our morning. I let them wake up on their own, we have breakfast (a must), get dressed, and out the door for errands. I have been trying to get them dressed first, so their pajamas don't get messed up by breakfast (making less laundry for the week). Also, we were finding dirty PJ's everywhere b/c once they are downstairs, that's where I would change them.

My morning routine is just to get out of here on time - I leave before the kids are up or getting up and hubby has to get them off to school. He has the night shift. We've rearranged some cabinets so the older one (4 1/2) can help herself to juice boxes or some breakfast to help dad get going. We also have a wipe off board by the door where I leave important notes and lists for the day. That way we can double check each other.

I try to get as many things ready the night before as possible. Then I try to wake them a bit early so we have time for a nice, hot breakfast and.... *reality break* Ok, I wake up a little late, scream for everyone else to wake up, run around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to assemble everything and get everyone dressed and ready, brush head after screaming head, shove everyone in the car and say a little prayer that everyone is clean and appropriately dressed and drive off... only to return minutes later to retrieve the precious forgotten item of the day. :) (still wouldn't trade it for anything)

My morning routine involves trying desperately to get nutrition shoved down the throats of my three children while they beg for chips and cookies (neither of which, I should add, do I have in the house). Coffee is blearily made and eventually they are bundled up into the car to go to school and swimming lessons, respectively.

I hate mornings.
